Compliance

Compliance that runs every day, not just at audit time.

Systems, policies and ongoing monitoring that keep your operation in line with Traffic Commissioner expectations, so standards don't slip between audits.

Ongoing support can include

  • Tachograph compliance oversight
  • Maintenance record reviews
  • Defect reporting and walkaround checks reviewed
  • Scope and frequency agreed in your quotation
Why ongoing compliance

Most compliance problems start small and go unnoticed.

A missed PMI, an out-of-date licence record or a pattern of infringements rarely looks serious on its own. Over months, those small gaps are what examiners find, and what Traffic Commissioners ask about.

Our compliance services give you the systems to catch problems early and the independent oversight to prove your standards are being kept, whether you run two vehicles or two hundred.

This is for you if

  • Your transport manager is stretched across too many tasks
  • You don't have written policies, or they're out of date
  • Infringements keep recurring with the same drivers
  • You rely on one person who holds everything in their head
  • You want evidence of compliance for customers or insurers
  • You're working towards Earned Recognition

Tachograph compliance oversight

TSG provides independent oversight of your tachograph compliance systems, reviewing analysis reports, infringement trends and missing mileage, with practical advice and staff training to strengthen your processes. Routine downloads, day-to-day analysis, driver debriefs, investigations and disciplinary action remain the responsibility of the operator and its appointed team. Our role is to help you identify gaps and manage compliance effectively, with the scope of support agreed at the outset.

Questions

Compliance: common questions

How is retained support priced?

We agree the scope, frequency, included work and fee with you in a quotation before support starts. Packages are built around your fleet size and the elements you need, so nothing is included automatically.

Do we need special software?

No. We work with the tachograph analysis and maintenance systems you already use, or can recommend options if you don't have any.

Does this replace our transport manager?

No. Your transport manager keeps legal responsibility. We support them with checks, systems and oversight, which helps demonstrate continuous and effective control.

What is OCRS and why does it matter?

OCRS is the Operator Compliance Risk Score DVSA uses to decide which vehicles to stop. It's built from roadside checks, annual tests and prohibitions. A red or amber score means more stops and more scrutiny, and records are sometimes wrongly attributed. We help you understand your score, fix the causes and challenge errors.

Can we start with just one service?

Yes. Many operators start with policies and procedures or tachograph compliance oversight and add more over time.
